I sent this via email, but this will help everybody that has affiliate software to market their Pickaxes once I get an answer:
Since we don’t have access to PickAxe’s backend code, which is usually required for Stripe’s Sessions API integration to work.
This information can be used to create a custom tracking code:
1.) Does the PickAxe confirmation page expose variables such as Customer Email and Purchase Amount?
2.) Documentation on how to use the confirmation page header for code injection.
We can develop a custom frontend tracking code that partially works without backend access if these details are provided.
Proposed Integration Approach:
Tracking referrals when customers complete the signup form, not by passing variables to Stripe.
When Stripe sends payment notifications, the system checks if the customer’s email from the form is already in the system.
Limitations: The customer must use the same email on Stripe as on the signup form.
Once this is done, those of us who have access to a ton of influencers can reach out to them, giving them revenue share through affiliate links. This could generate hundreds to thousands of sales quickly.
This also helps with link building since we can reach out to PR and Bloggers by giving them affiliate links to link back to our websites, boosting our SEO efforts.
