I am a military historian and a battlefield guide. There is huge scepticism in our communities regarding the use of AI primarily surrounding the reliability of sources accessed by LLMs and the acknowledged risks of hallucinations. Which is why I am interested in training the models I use on my own research - verified - material and knowledge bases. That’s why I am so interested in what Pickaxe has to offer. So far my results have been disappointing but that, I am certain, is primarily down to user error. I’m learning as I go.
