API Key and BIlling

Hello

I new to Pickaxe and wanted help with API keys.

So I’m currently on the free plan to try things out and I’m not super tech versed but understood that if I connect API key from OpenAI then it does not use credits.

Okay so, I tried to connect and it says that I do not have credits with the API Key.

I have a paid Open AI subcriptions - the $20/m one -I thought that meant I can use them through PIckaxe but it seems I have to pay something else?

Just need help clarifying all this and what I should purchase.

You are correct. The $20 subscription is for ChatGPT.

To use the APIs you need to log into / create an account with the OpenAI platform - https://platform.openai.com/

You can then go under settings > API Keys > Create new secret key. Make sure the account is funded (you need to add your credit card details)

Once created, copy the value and paste it in the Pickaxe studio under settings > Model API key > Add

thank you. and how much approx will it cost me pelase? I’m just starting out and will have a few tools that are meant to be used daily or weekly.

Each LLM provider has their own pricing page. Make sure to search on your go-to search engine “{name of LLM} Pricing”.
