Chatbot Monetization

Is anyone willing to share success stories they have had in monetizing a bot? I am early with the product and am enjoying creating bot, but will at some point want to monetize. Thanks, in advance, for your responses.

Yes, this is the hardest part about creating bots is getting it in front of people to monetize. Hopefully, as time goes it will be figured out.

This is a great question. I hope more community members hop in! We’re in the early days of this make money with AI space. For most people, selling AI chatbots is a new idea. In the same way that selling online video courses and e-books became a new type of digital good, we know that selling AI chatbots/agents will as well. So the best practices are still being figured out!

To answer your question more specifically, I can share a few observations about the users I’ve seen who have successfully monetized the most.

Niche Product
The more specific the service you’re offering the better!

For example, I’ve seen plenty of copywriting studios, but I’ve also seen plenty of very specific copywriting studios, such as how to write copy for Facebook group posts, or how to write copy for Etsy. Earlier today I spoke with a customer who is launching a Hebrew Copywriting product! The specific tools usually see more success because they are tackling a specific problem where their expertise combined with AI helps solve. Of course, there are plenty of exceptions to this rule.

Having an Existing Audience
It’s easier to sell an AI product if you already have a foot in the door of a specific field.

For examples, if you’re a coach who sells a course about a very specific skill like optimizing your LinkedIn Profile, or you’re a marketer with a newsletter about developments in a niche area like sports betting, then it will be fairly easy to offer an additional AI product like an AI Studio. This doesn’t apply to everybody. But if you already sell a product/service in an existing niche, it will be much easier to sell chatbot services there.

Clean & Clear Branding
Good studios usually are easy to understand the value.

I’ve seen multiple very cool studios with very confusing value propositions about “supercharging optimal efficiency workflows for modern workplaces with powerful AI tools”. The tools are cool, but it’s not easy to understand what the studio does.

The best studios usually have a clear value, like this My Mexico Move studio which promises to help you move to Mexico with tools for each part of the process. This relates to my first point, the more specific your tools the better. Usually!

Example Studios
Here are some examples of publicly listed Studios that recently monetized for the first time this last week that also have good branding:

I couldn’t agree more about getting some more community members in here!

I do agree we are in the early days of AI monetization and like the previous things people had to figure out how to sell like ebooks, podcasts and just about any other digital item people figured it out and we will as well. Thanks for giving me these Example studios browsing through them.

I’ll add more to this topic as we grow together.

Has anyone put a free bot on a page and put adsens on it and just let people use it all day.
