DeepSeek AI as a base model

Upvote here if you want Pickaxe to add the DeepSeek model! It’s something we’re considering but we’d love to see what the community thinks.

Dear Nathaniel,

Yes, please add the DeepSeek R1 model, it’s cheaper for us and it’s at the same time on par with OpenAi’s o1. Don’t even hesitate, my friend :grinning:.

I thank you in advance.

Or we just have an OpenRouter action where we could pick any model.

I created an action with DeepSeek, but the problem is that it can’t read the knowledge base, making the action therefore too limited.

If Pickaxe could let us function call the entire knowledge base in any Action this would make Actions unbelievably powerful.

Deepseek base model in PickAxe please! Lower cost, open source and powerful. It’s a no brainer

I know what you mean. I think I found a way to have an openrouter (make workflow) custom action scan my Pickaxe database. But I’m not sure if it’s 100% stable. I will discuss with Nathaniel and update soon.

@nathaniel as far as I’m concerned I won’t be using Temu…I mean DeepSeek

Yes, to having the option of selecting the DeepSeek API. It will certainly lower costs on some of our more basic AI Agent functions.

Please add that. We will appreciate that. Thank you!

Yes please. I’m 100% sure our competitors will be using it or maybe they are using it already. Was able to Install it locally using Ollama and it’s crazy good.

DeepSeek just launched another open-source AI model—Janus-Pro 7B.

This multimodal model claims to match or surpass task-specific AI models and rivals OpenAI’s DALL-E 3 and Stable Diffusion across GenEval and DPG-Bench benchmarks.

Deepseek pricing may make Voice integration a viable option.

You mean voice integration into your Pickaxe?

Yes Ned, if it was cost effective I would add html to Pickaxe to enable voice. At the moment it is only viable on low traffic sites like our [https://brainhealtheducation.com.au/]

Competitors using indeed. Keep pumping the upvotes ya’ll, lets see if we can get one of the gun dev’s @Pickaxe to do an all-nighter, jacked on coffee, to get this fully intergrated :joy:

Did you try Elevenlabs?
They offer plug-n-play Voice Chatbot that are super easy to configure and deploy. You can deploy them in the ‘Code Injection’ section in your studio. More info in this post: Integrate VoiceBot into Pickaxe - #2 by ned_rvth

Yes we have used that, but last time I did the sums it was costing about $6 per hour to run. Any ideas?
