I changed the text of the button on the “Hero Page” part to “Get Started” but nothing happens when I click it.

I resolved this by disabling the Hero page.
Hey dude, I believe the issue is actually a simple fix. This help post about studio customization discusses in more depth, but essentially end users will see slightly different things on those buttons depending on whether they are a guest or member.
Hidden in the bottom right of the Studio Manager page is a dropdown to “View As”. This lets you view your studio as a guest, a member etc. If you select View as a Guest in it, you will see what they see and can customize the text. So when you customize text while on “view as owner”, you aren’t actually changing what a guest sees on the hero page.
For your convenience, I will include a screenshot of the mentioned interface element.
This is not working. The guest user preview on the landing page shows the button to try now for a guest user, but when we access the live landing page, it always show the button to register, and not the button to try now.
Have you edited the copy for both “views” (not signed-in and signed-in)?
Yes, both views were edited. On the backoffice preview it shows correctly, but on the live website don’t.
Here is the link to my pickaxe studio: Pickaxe Studio
I have also attached the backoffice and frontoffice screenshots, where you can see the differences.
For me I see “usar a ferramenta”.
You can set different text for different tiers of users (not-signed in guest, signed in member, paying member, etc.).
It’s difficult for me to tell from the screenshots which view you have, since it’s in a language I don’t understand. What view do you have set for the bottom right corner?
I see that you are logged in, and there is no problem when you are logged in.
If you logout, you will see “registar” (register), when it should appear “usar a ferramenta” (use the tool), because it is what appears in the backoffice when I view as a convidado (guest).
I have attached a new backoffice screenshot, viewing as convidade (guest).
And here is the frontoffice image, where the second button should say “usar a ferramenta” (use the tool) and not “registar” (register).
Hi @smap360,
It will show the register button when the guest user has 0 uses left.
Hi stephenasuncion ,
That’s not the case. If you enter the site (link below), it will show the register button.
The gest user (convidado) has 24 user/month, as you can see in the image below:
Ahh you’re right, should be fixed! please confirm.
I have the same issue; editing the button’s text in the hero section disables the button.
How do we fix this @admin_mike and @stephenasuncion ?? Thanks
This is the code before we edit the text in the button, the button works here:
And this is the code after we edit the text in the button, a simple text edit from “Try now” to “Click Here To Try Them Out” generates all this extra code that breaks the button’s function. This is a big deal considering that we are talking about the main button in a landing page, please fix it soon thanks:
I also noticed that the button in the hero section has some weird behavior.
It sometimes shows “Try now”, and other times it says “Sign Up”. I have a feeling that is controlled by a cookie, but I am not sure.
Clicking the “Try out” button (when it’s working, before getting the text modified) opens a pickaxe (the first pickaxe linked to the studio? Is there a way to modify this?) and the “Sign Up” button opens the modal window to sign up (and as far as I know there is no way to edit this button).
Here’s the code for the “Sign Up” working button:
