Incorporate (in forms and chatbots) the ability to interact with youtube videos from a URL provided by the user

Pls, incorporating the ability to interact with YouTube videos via a user-provided URL in forms and chatbots is essential to delivering a more personalized and engaging experience, especially considering that competing apps have already adopted this functionality.

Thanks!

I believe we have this. What do you mean?

Hi, we have talked about this before. At that time you sent me a cloning application which did not work either time. That is the reason for this request. Thank you.

End-users can currently enter youtube links into the chat and the Pickaxe will automatically visit the video and scrape its transcript.

Has it not been working for you? Or are you talking about a different feature?

Hi,

I’ve tried doing it from a form where the user enters the URL of the YouTube video, but it hasn’t worked. The application displays a message stating that it cannot access the URL. Also, one of the administrators sent me a clone app, but it didn’t work either.

I would appreciate any help in this regard.

Thanks,

Hmmm. Not every youtube video is scrapable. For example, if the video is not public or has audio transcript disabled, then it won’t be able to pull a transcript. Those are settings the video owner would have to manually set when they upload it, but it’s worth mentioning.

Can you send me the Form-based Pickaxe that isn’t working with youtube links? I will personally look into it.

Of course!

This is the form >> Resume Video de Youtube

Thank you in advance,

You are putting the link into a normal user input field. Those only accept text.

In order to scrape files, you need to click “allow users to upload files”. This will bring up a box where end-users can either upload files or enter links like youtube videos.

It worked!

Thank you very much,

Note: You have to “Publish” the application because in “Test” mode it didn’t work, it throws the message “You must upload a document for the ‘URL del video’ field.”
