Has anyone tried having the chatbot promote links to affiliate program pages? or even using affiliate links? I’ve got a chatbot on a personal site that sends people to buymeacoffee!?!?

Yes you can do this! Several users have done this. To allow your Pickaxe to deliver links in the chat is simple. Here are some step-by-step instructions:

In the prompt, write a statement like "Output the following link in the conversation [www.example.com]

Include some logic for when you want the link to be outputted and when you don’t. For example you might say “If the user mentions X” or “after four messages output the link”, etc.

Test the chatbot to make sure it is outputting the link. Buymeacoffee links should even render as rich previews in the chat rather than a simple hyperlink.

What if the affiliate links are in your knowledge uploads (pdfs), will it reference them exactly?
Just thinking if I already have ebooks with affiliate links in them, will it pull that into a chat?
Or will it strip out the affiliate tracking part?
I’ve had this work before as I had a affiliate engine of sorts it does work.
