Can I count on User Memory to Retain Users' Responses across Pickaxes?

Hello,

I am now a Pro User.

I want to set up several Pickaxes within a Studio. Some will be Form style and some will be Chatbot style. A user will generally use these in order, but not always. We’d always have them start at an Introductory Pickaxe though where we gather name, company, industry and other demographic info.

The pricing statement seems to imply that Pro Users will have unlimited User Memories but doesn’t state that specifically.

Also, are there limits to the length of a response that can be retained in the user memory?

Are there situations where it would be better to use an API to an Air Table or etc.? This would involve a learning curve for me I’d rather not experience, but need to know if that is what I’d need to do, and when it would be necessary.

Finally, I understand that User Memories cannot be accessed across Studios, but only within a Studio. Is that still the case?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi @strategybuddy7,

  1. I don’t believe there is a hard limit on the memory but I would ask @admin_mike to confirm
  2. Bear in mind memories are sent along with the user’s query and any retrieve knowledge to the model for context. Therefore, make sure you stay within the context window of the underlying LLM
  3. If you are collecting business critical information I would use a relational database like Airtable
  4. Correct memories reside within the studio and only shared across the pickaxes within the studio

Hello! Are you with Pickaxe company? I think something is wrong with the system. Have wasted hours trying to fix one of my pickaxes.

How do I get a direct response from Pickaxe? There is no Hel feature and noone seems to be manning the community board but you!

@strategybuddy7 no, I’m a user like you. Maybe you could join one the office hours and speak directly to them?

Hey, thanks for your response. It is hard to get an answer. If you ask the “Doorman” bot it just says to ask the community. There seem to be two people manning the community, one named Mike and one is Stephen. But they don’t seem to drop by very often. Have you cracked the code on how to get help with likely simple questions?

Hi @strategybuddy7, yes I guess the community can help with most queries. If you have an issue with the platform add the post under the Bugs category. As I mention, there are weekly office hours that you can join live and ask questions as well. Finally under your profile button, there is a contact link to send them an email.

What problems are you having with your pickaxes?

You are kind, ab2308!!!

Above is an upload of a screenshot from the DESIGN page. You can see that there is a “hero” image present but no matter how many times I click on “Save” it never shows up as the backdrop of ANY of my pickaxes.

Any advice?
