I will be embedding my pickaxes on a Wordpress page, and have those pages behind a paywall. Is it possible for the user to see the history of past interactions with the pickaxe?
Right now, no. Largely because we don’t keep track of the users on embedded Pickaxes via accounts the way we do with Studios. This tracking is the major advantage of Studios, by keeping track of users it lets us do a lot of cool things.
But we are working on some technology to be able to do this on embeds potentially.
This will open up a lot of possibilities. This is the main reason why I’m not using the embed functionality. +1 on this feature!
It looks like this functionality exists now. At least on the popup embed I see the “See history” link. However, I came here requesting the ability to hide that for users. We’re considering pickaxe for chatbots that will be used by students who may be using the same computer - definitely the same IP address. I know we can disable all user history but we need the ability to view the all our user chat threads, we just don’t want end-users to be able to “See history” on the embeds. Should have started with this, but … pickaxe is fantastic! Thanks for all your work on this.
I’d like to +1 this post. Please give us a way to toggle or remove the “see history” text on an embed.
I am using this pickaxe embed as a lead capture method. The “See history” text makes it feel like a random person can click the link and see the results of all my other prospects.
But if I’m allowed to toggle this off - I can alleviate that concern altogether.
Thank you for considering this!
