Concern About Recent Update and Support for Early Backers

Dear Pickaxe Community,

I wanted to take a moment to express my concerns regarding the recent update, which I believe has left many of us who have supported Pickaxe from the beginning out of the game.

When I purchased my Level 2 plan through ■■■■■■■, I was excited to build my bots using Claude Sonnet. However, with the latest update, it appears that we can now only use Claude Opus. This change seems very unfair to me, especially considering that the prices for Sonnet 3.5 and 3.7 remain the same.

I believe that as early adopters, we should have the opportunity to continue using the tools we initially invested in. I hope the team can reconsider this decision and allow us to keep access to Claude Sonnet.

Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to hearing the community’s thoughts on the matter.

Agree, Level 3 buyer. Also the prices at Claude seem to be lower for 3.5 than for Opus. So I just don’t get it. Looks like they want to chase away their early backers.

All we can do is to warn other users so they don’t experience what we experienced.

Pickaxe team, please consider what the community has voiced out, and more will come to find this issue once they migrate to the latest version. We’ve invested a great deal of time in this tool, and our business reputation are on the line. Today it’s Claude, tomorrow it can be something else. If you need to remove something, please give us another option (That makes sense) so we can continue to service our clients.

Not cool to support a company for a lifetime access when they are the ones who offered and and then later for them to take it away

I saw there’s a Trustpilot review page for Pickaxeproject. If that helps.

Let’s just wait to see the response from PickAxe before taking any action

Pickaxe already confirmed multiple times.

Personally, I don’t see how leaving negative reviews can help in this situation…I don’t think that’s the best negotiation strategy in this case.

The Pickaxe team has always been understanding and has listened to the community, so I trust that we can find a solution that benefits everyone.

I see that something has changed and now we can use sonnet 3.5 and 3.7, and only Opus is blocked. This is already a good step.

I hope that in the future they will consider allowing us to bring our own Claude API keys.

Thank you, Pickaxe.

I see. You probably have different purchase terms.

Mine already has BYOK since 2024. And part of the purchase terms is access to future new models.

The goal is really to collaborate and find a solution, From what we’re seeing from the team’s actions so far, they are listening to us.

Let’s not be hasty to put Pickaxe in a bad light, especially for the public, we all want this platform to succeed, we’re riding on it as well afterall

Ah. Looks like there are two groups of purchasers here for LTD.

Group 1: Credit-based system
Group 2: BYOK system.

The issue they have is some users are gaming the credits system that’s why they paywalled expensive models.

I can understand that.

But I’m in Group 2. My usage, my pay.

This means, my sentiment is for people in Group 2. But it looks like you are in Group 1. Best of luck to you

However, I understand that we are in the process of migration right now and the stability of the platform needs to be prioritized.

This is why I hope that once migration is already stable, they will bring back full access to Group 2.

My sentiment is that the team should not involve Group 2 in limitations they want to impose with Group 1, if that makes sense.

Honestly, I get pissed too when LTDs go sour, but if you’re earning revenue at all with this tool, why wouldn’t you continue to support it by being a monthly subscriber? Because really, if $77/month is going to bankrupt your business, it’s not really a business, is it?

Still a huge value for the monthly price imo. Tier 3 AS buyer here.

I agree 100%.

Business owners should be able to afford $77/month.
