Hey – My tools are on a black background with white text to match my brand but when my customers copy the output and paste it into an email provider or their blogging CMS the text remains white. – Is there a fix to this? I do not want to change the UI/UX as it matches my brand – please help - thanks.
I haven’t seen this issue before. Are they highlighting and copying the text? Or using the “copy” button at the bottom of the outputs?
copy button or highlighting – issue is with both @admin_mike
I believe this is how the system is supposed to work. In order to capture more of the output, in some cases you are copying the actual HTML of the text rather than just the markdown.
@admin_mike For example, when I use chatgpt in DarkMode – I copy the text (which is white) I paste it in a gmail window and it shows up black
Our text-rendering system is not 1-for-1 with ChatGPT. We are slowly improving this. I have logged this as an item for us to review as a team. I can’t promise a quick turnaround on it as we are finishing up our big API actions integration.
Hey @admin_mike checking for a solution for this too as my tool is a content creator, to be copy/pasted into websites, blogs, emails, socials etc. Thanks Bron
Hi @bronster, following up on this! I user tested the scenarios described above and it looks like you’re correct that our copy/paste formatting setup looks different from that of ChatGPT. I will chat with our engineers about making a change to that.
In the meantime, I would recommend using ‘paste without formatting’ when putting text into a word doc/similar location, or even pasting/recopying the text in an empty browser window for a low-tech solution!
