I had been paying for ChatGPT Plus at $20/mo so I could build custom GPTs and use 4o. But I can do both of those things in Pickaxe, so I’m wondering if I should cancel my $20/mo GPT Plus subscription and just put the money on OpenAI credits instead.
The only benefit I’m thinking is that a custom GPT would be in their store and could be searchable, which could be an interesting lead generation opportunity. But that’s all I can think of.
Does anyone still subscribe to ChatGPT Plus? For what reason?
Great questions, I stopped my GPTPlus as I started to explore other LLM’s and having something in the storefront didn’t seem to do anything to justify it. I also got some API credits as I use the API elsewhere.
I have yet to see which route I can use for optimal performance for setting the API to use. If it gets busy then I think I will switch to the Open AI version. But it’s not so busy. I’m not able to drive enough traffic at the moment.
If you cancel GPTPlus, you can still use a ChatGPT or Anthropic API key that you get for free. Then paste the API key inside your PA account. You’ll pay as you go. So if you put $25 in your account, you are then charged per usage drawn from the $25. When it goes low you add more money to your account.
Depends. I use both. ChatGPT is useful if you want to do advanced data-analysis and the new canvas feature which lets chatgpt be used as a text editor also (ex. if you generate an essay and just want to change the opening para, you can ask chatgpt and it will show the changes in realtime in a split screen mode).
However, if your use is only chatting with it or do some internet search using it then pickaxe is a complete replacement. The key differentiator is the front-end interface that you get.
Definitely, especially if you create a personal studio with all your ai tools to use, if your gonna pay for anything Cluade is much better than chatGPT but if your using PickaxeProject no need, build your our studio out for your personal tools.
