I have existing Stripe Accounts I can't connect PickAxe Studios to in V2

When I go to connect a studio to my Stripe accounts, no matter what option I choose, it forces me to create a new Stripe account with a Pickaxe logo on it when I already have two existing Stripe accounts I would like to connect. How do I use them instead of being forced to create a new one?

This has confused me also. I’ve had to re-connect Stripe for multiple studios after the v2 update. Each studio now has a new Stripe Business created for it. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s quite frustrating

Ok, I thought it was just me at first but good to know. @admin_mike are you guys able to fix this within the next week? I would like to launch my studios next weekend if possible.

Are these Stripe accounts you already connected in beta pickaxeproject and that you are now struggling to connect in .co? Or you trying to connect these Stripe accounts for the first time?

Same here. I’m trying to connect my existing Stripe account, but I’m stuck on this screen. I keep clicking the ‘Continue’ button, but nothing happens

No, I’m trying to connect existing Stripe accounts for the first time to V2 https://pickaxe.co. I was building my PAs in V1 but never connected any existing Stripe Accounts. I created my Stripe Accounts way before I purchased PickAxe.

@admin_mike To clarify, I have never connected any new or existing Stripe Accounts in V1 PickAxe. I never hit the connect to Stripe button until V2 PickAxe.

It looks like you’re going through the normal flow. If you have an existing Stripe account that you run for a business, in fact you cannot connect this account to your Pickaxe studio. Because of the way Stripe’s connected accounts work, you need to create a new account in order to be a merchant through us.

Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks, Mikey!

It is a new business, so it won’t affect me, but does anyone else know if you can run the Stripe PickAxe account under the example business name VO in Parallel to another Stripe Account under the same business name VO to collect payments for other products that don’t include PickAxes?

I can quickly reconnect the business bank accounts to the new PickAxe Stripe account from the existing Stripe accounts. Still, I would like to know if anyone else has this setup running them in parallel, as described above in paragraph two.

It’s a huge issue now. I’m trying to connect a studio in Stripe, and it connected to my other business name, Stripe account, so I deleted it. Now I have an error no matter what I do, including duplicating the Studio that says PickAxe website says there is no account (then the account number of the stripe account I deleted).

I tried to create a new Stripe Account within the Studio, but this error keeps popping up (keeps trying to connect to Stripe account I deleted instead of creating a new one). @admin_mike, how do I solve this? Can’t I choose the business name without it defaulting to the name I don’t want, or do I have to change this manually in Stripe? Very frustrating.

The only solutions I can think of is either (A) have your team from the PickAxe Side wipe out the ID of the Studio in question that is recognized from Stripe (not sure if this requires deleting the Studio altogether) so I can create a new Stripe account since it keeps trying to connect to the Stripe account I deleted.

Or (B) delete the Studio in question, create a new one, and remake all the PickAxe’s plus CNAME all over again. Hopefully, I can create a new Stripe account without having it continually try to connect to the same deleted Stripe Account.

I’ll email you the Studio in question and the clone that still tries to connect to the deleted Stripe Account.

Since this deals with sensitive account information, please email us at directly at info@pickaxeproject.com with the request to wipe the Stripe account from your Pickaxe account

Hi Mike, Nathaniel took care of this already via email and it looks like I can now create a new Stripe account! I will let you guys know if I encounter any other issues.
