MindStudio Alternative for embeds? Migrating from MindStudio to Pickaxe

This month MindStudio us getting rid of their chatbot embedding, which is why am considering using Pickaxe.

Although, the different agents on MindStudio provides API.

Can I connect the API to Pickaxe, if so - how?

Mindstudio creates quite complex workflows. Pickaxe is more oriented towards single agents with api calls.

Not sure whether it can be a replacement. I also used mindstudio but their pricing is just “mindbending”.

I’m not super familiar with MindStudio, but we do have many customers who use Pickaxe as a cheaper and more flexible MindStudio alternative.

Pickaxe is, overall, less complex than MindStudio. You can build multi-step workflows, but probably not as complicated as MindStudio. You can connect your Pickaxe to APIs via the Actions system. We have several pre-built Actions (Sending emails, Zapier/Make, etc.). You’ll find this under the Act tab of the builder. You can also create a custom Action which allows you to write your own code.

Here is a walkthrough video of a user migrating over from MindStudio to Pickaxe

@nguness I run some MindStudio agents (even if I’m transitioning to Harpa as you can trigger actions that interact with your browser…and is cheaper).

You can definitely trigger a MindStudio agent from Pickaxe by using an action.

You need to create an API call and hit the Mindstudio endpoint corresponding to the agent you want to use.

In Mindstudio go under “Developers” and “Run an app” to find the endpoint you need

Ooh - hey thanks for this. Have been a die-hard Mind Studio builder but the new sunsetting of the embed feature is less than welcome. Have been trying to rebuild some tools and connect via api into Loveable - but it’s very glitchy. Excited that his idea here might be the solution I’m looking for. New to Pickaxe but will check this out. Thanks ))
