Stripe Integration Issues

Hi all,

Liking the new V2 of Pickaxe but it comes with alot of issues, especially with Stripe integration. I am unable to create a tier that isn’t priced as a whole number ie. $4.99. Another big issue is price changes. With the prices being locked after a tier is created, it creates a big issue when I need to increase/decrease prices. The user base that already exists is now locked in a price plan that is not reflective of the new prices. I liked the old version where a new price simply created a new skew in the backend on Stripe.

I would be fantastic if there was more communication between Stripe and Pickaxe platforms where I could also change prices in Stripe and have that automatically reflect in Pickaxe studios. This would make management of the user bases in each tiered segment much better.

Finally, I am running into an issue where offsite Stripe purchases are not being reflected on the account status of Pickaxe users. I believe this has to do with the way payments are coded and that Pickaxe ->Stripe is a one way street and therefore any Stripe changes do not reflect in Pickaxe. I am attempting to deploy to a large organization who have required as part of our contract a free trial to their members followed by a discount forever. Using Stripe’s “Create a Payment Link”, I am able to create a custom link to a checkout page that will offer a free trial and where users can apply a discount code (trial and discounts are separate entities under Stripe). During testing, when users pay using this method with the email they have registered on Pickaxe with, once payment has be confirmed as processed by Stripe, the users do not see any change in their Account Status on the Account page in my Studio. This is a huge problem for me as I am just attempting to launch, it makes no sense to build up an entire website just for launch when the entire point of Pickaxe studios is to create MVPs, and people want to test MVPs with trials before they fully commit. At the moment with “Free” tiers there is no way to force them to convert outside of having everyone re-signup to a new tier which is a huge turn off for large orgs who want a streamlined process for their members.

Subsequently due to the lack of communication between the Pickaxe platform and Stripe, I am also unable to manage those members subscriptions who already exist on V1. I can add and remove users to the tier manually no problem, but on the Stripe side of things they don’t exist.
