Is it possible to configure 2 Pickaxes within the same studio, one with unlimited uses (using a cheaper model - 4o-mini) and another with a limit of 30 uses (sonnet 3.5)?
Or would it be necessary to create two separate studios to achieve this?

Yes! Simply put them on different tiers, and set the limits of the tiers as you like. You don’t need to create two separate studios!
I don’t think is possible because credits are tier based and not pickaxe based.
Imagine this scenario:
- pickaxe 1 using 4o-mini that provides unlimited use
- pickaxe 2 using Claude that provides 30 uses per month
I want both to be available for a PRO tier user for example but for that I would need to setup unlimited use on the tier which will make pickaxe 2 unlimited and not limited to 30

I would also like the option to set a monthly usage limit for specific Pickaxes, to better control and manage their utilization.

No you cannot do this. Nathaniel misunderstood your question.
You can wall a specific Pickaxe behind an unlimited Tier. But you cannot have two change the credit costs of Pickaxe. All Pickaxes will always cost 1 credit within a studio. And credits from a tier can be spent on any Pickaxe, they cannot be specified to specific Pickaxes.
