Using Claude API with Web Browsing turned on doesnt work

I tried to use Claude API with web browsing and it said it would search the internet to research my topic but never gave the response. I turned off web browsing and it worked fine.

Hey lloyd. Web browsing should work with the Claude models. In fact, it works too well (it runs every single time regardless of the user’s intent).

Can you provide a link to your tool? And are you using your own API key?

Yes, I am using my own API Key and thats what I meant to indicate. It probably works fine when not using your own API key but when using your own API Key, it doesnt work as expected. I have plenty of funds on misanthropic account. Web browsing is working, just not the way I want it to.

But I do like that Pickaxe, it’s pretty cool.

Has anyone here had to pay for their claude account for the api key to work. I got a key but didnt add any funds. Or could I need to wait.

I put money on my account with them so I am guessing that it’s necessary to do.
