Alternative to Stripe?

Pickaxe is like a goldmine, but my country doesn’t support Stripe.

What should I do?
Give up?

I think I read somewhere paypal is coming soon.

How soon is that?

I heard they are hesitant adding PayPal. But I’m hoping other methods like Google Pay is possible.

We don’t have an exact timeline on alternative payment processors, though it’s something we want to as clearly it’s in the best interest of the builders, the end-users, and the company. I don’t want to mislead anyone though. I would not expect alternative payment processors in the short-term.

We have a considerable project with finishing Actions first and making them truly easy before we can turn our focus to things like alternative payment processors.

I see.

Thanks for the reply.
But do you have any suggestions on what to do for builders who can’t use Stripe?

I suggest embedding the pickaxes within your own website and using a third-party service to paywall the tools. Many users like Wix/Squarespace’s built-in paywalling, memberspace, and similar softwares.

That sounds good. Thanks for the suggestion!

While we await PayPal does anyone have any additional light to shed on the interesting suggestion made by @admin_mike where he says ‘Many users like Wix/Squarespace’s built-in paywalling, memberspace, and similar softwares’. Are these alternatives useful to build say a monthly membership fee only -or would we be able to build per usage fees into an external paywalling system? Did anyone get this up and running, what did you use, and how do you charge (per use / per month)? @christian did you find a viable method?

Another good third-party paywalling service is Memberspace.

And do you have an idea of what that deadline would be?
I ask, because depending on your answer I will wait or look for another solution.
Thank you for your attention.

In time: I’m in Brazil and people loved my pickaxes. What a disappointment when I saw that I couldn’t charge…

Hard to say. We’re currently building a lot of other stuff. I would not exact this before 2025.
