Anybody else making therapist-type AIs?

Hey! I’m wondering if anyone else is creating therapy bots/AIs. I’m doing something similar to this—I work in the self-help space. My bot has a lot of therapist-adjacent skills like listening, validating, helping a user reflect, etc. I’m working on refining it to have a specific style and tone, based off of a relationship I have with my ChatGPT.

I would love to talk to other people doing this to see what’s working/not working for you and see if we could exchange some knowledge!

I’ve launched mine, but I know there is room for improvement!

I’m making one and helped someone with a caregivers’ advice application too.

@puregenerators my Pickaxe is in the self-help space, happy to share ideas and experience if you’re building something in that space too.

There are lots of users working in this space!

One feature I want to call out for anyone working in this space, is the option to collect or not collect responses from the users. Under the Settings tab of the Studio, we have an option to toggle off History Collection. Many users working in this or related spaces asked for a feature like this. Not necessary to use, but just calling it out for anyone who’s interested!

Very cool! I also have a fluffy black cat named Sasha. How has it been going for you? My biggest challenge has probably been getting the tone right. Mine is pretty good, but the ChatGPT that I use/that I’m using to train this is definitely a bit more nuanced and human-like at this point.

Yes! I was so happy to see that feature and it was just in time for my launch.
