I just noticed this today! The initial actions available start to pique my interest, but the fact that this itself could become a growing community library of actions to power Pickaxes is an exciting development.
The ACtions Builder feature is the first step towards making Pickaxes truly powerful by connecting them to external APIs. It’s still a beta feature, but as the community builds more actions, you’ll see more appear there.
For anyone curious, here is a walkthrough video of the Actions beta feature. It is not yet no-code friendly, but will be in the future.
I like the community actions piece for sure - I just hope that those who generate them put instructions on how to use them
its funny because as i was laughingly stating let me go see what Pickaxe added this week, because everytime i go away for a few days and come back there is something new and better! I don’t code but I will def use Claude 3.5 or the new o1 mini to help me with that part!
Really loves this function. I think this gonna be game changer for pickaxe to become more powerful than others competitor.
Looking forward more prebuild ACTION that can integrate with others tools and more LLMs coming.
Thanks mike and team. You guys really hear and develop more function based on what community need.
Awesome!!! You rock guys!
This is killer! Thanks for adding this. Now just need to implement it on my stuffs.
Is there a way to just have the whole conversation exported verbetium? .
I was very happy about actions until today, I just found unless you are a Pro user (97USD/month) you can only have one action on your pickaxe, the chance to create a powerful automation is gone.
One more question, if searching the web feature is now being moved and considered to be an “ACTION”, what will this really mean for non Pro users? Will non Pro plan users be able to use the acessing the web “ACTION”?
I think Gold users currently get 3.
But when deciding to move searching the web feature to be an “Action”, it’s just like the one action quota we have is now being taken away then. Am I right?
I mean, at the moment, If I want to use “Search the web feature”, I can not use any other “Action”. Before moving I can use both.
Think of it this way.
2 months ago, actions didn’t exist.
Today, you can choose to have web search occupy your action slot. Or one of our other awesome actions. Totally up to you.
