How to force Pickaxe name chats in a particular name? I really need to control this. For example:
- Initial CBT session.
- Then depending on Pickaxe settings.
How to force Pickaxe name chats in a particular name? I really need to control this. For example:
There is no way to directly control the chat auto-naming in the current system.
I see. Okay.
Hope you will consider this function, though I understand that’s far from a priority.
If not a method for renaming the chats to something useful, can we at least have less of this naming convention:
The issue here, Mike, is that in a relatively narrow sidebar, most of the text is consumed with these messages making it virtually impossible to navigate your chats.
Personally, when I use my own Pickaxe, I write something like ‘U15 1500m Plan:’ and then my query after the ‘:’, as this typically forces the pickaxe to name the chat with this. However, whilst its a fix for my use, its not a slick UI/User Journey and when a user has ten or so conversarions all starting with “The User requested…” its not helpful to them at all!
Can’t agree more. This naming convention is not very user-friendly at all. Esp considering that the conversation name is truncated after about 25 characters in the left panel - leaving very little signal to the user as to what the topic of the conversation was when coming back to look for a past conversation.
This is obviously amplified by the fact that conversations cannot be deleted - so the sheer amount of noise plus the lack of signal makes the UX very difficult to have confidence it.
As a platform enabling those that hope to build things for other users, I would offer that it’s very important to understand the end-end users. These are not your customers, rather the customers of your customers. I am trying to be constructive here, I am not criticizing. But it’s these small things that are preventing me from deploying solutions on pickaxe. Small things matter in product/ux.
I hope you consider this feedback in context of your roadmap.
I’ll fix this. I believe the issue is once we released the AI summary system for conversations in the backend, we started piping the first 40 characters of that summary into the end-users nav bar as conversation titles.
Following, I’m also looking for this. I set a naming convention in the prompt frame and it works for the chat window but looking at how to set the history/conversation title.
Hi @admin_mike. Any updates on this? Appreciate your response.
Can you please share more about what you mean in terms of it working for the chat window? I’m hoping to set the sidebar chat name as the date of the conversation if possible!
I have a pickaxe that outputs an itinerary, and I have the prompt to force the name. It looks like its working now at the top of the itinerary, as well as in the left nav. the pickaxe is at app.livebold.travel. Here’s the text in the prompt:
Based on the user's input, create a concise title for this trip planning session. Include the destination, trip length if available, and a brief detail on the travel group or focus. Keep it under 10 words and use the format below:
Example Formats:
-[Destination] itinerary for [Dates/Time of Year]
-[Trip length] [Destination] [Focus/Style]
Examples:
- 10-Day Costa Rica Trip with Kids
- Weekend Getaway to Banff for Nature Lovers
- Japan Family Trip with Grandparents
- Iceland Honeymoon Adventure
And here’s what is looks like
Thanks so much! I’ll give this a shot
This works, but unfortunately only until the user leaves or re-fresh the browser. Then it defaults back to the “User requrested…” etc. Any chance to fix this?
Hi @admin_mike, any updates on this? Would be great if we can revert to the previous naming convention (first prompt by the user). Since we’re unable to rename the chats, I had a chatbot that prompted the user to start the first chat with the Project Name. It was working in the past but now, with the summary, it’s not.
Please advice a timeline as our clients are waiting on us as well.
@admin_mike Im looking for this too as my users are asking for it more and more. Do you have an update. Thanks so much Bron
Yes, would appreciate an update because the issue had been going on for two months, and we’re running out of excuses to explain to our clients @admin_mike
Looks good @liveboldtravel.
Are you using Chatgpt / Claude or do you have it hooked up to an actions for doing additional web research ?
Hi, I just have an action the sends an email using Gmail via Make. I love the idea of more research, and am gathering some ideas from travel agents about using something like this for lead gen as well!
