Trying to have relevant youtube videos be linked for relevant topics to help the user. However whenever my pickaxe responds with “here’s a helpful youtube video” the youtube video is always a black box with an error message “video could not be found”. Is there something I need to connect? I have google search as an action. Thanks!
Are you putting the videos in the prompt? Or in the Knowledge base?
Here’s what is likely happening. The model was trained on a bunch of information at a certain point in time. Let’s say Dec 2023. So while many youtube videos were public when it was trained, they may no longer be available a year later.
My suggestion is:
- to give it a list of pre-approved youtube links in the prompt or Knowledge Base
- Enable google search within your Pickaxe so it can search for youtube videos.
Hi thank you, yes I have google action enabled.
I currently have Gold so I am limited to 50 uploads, but would I be able to upload let’s say hundreds of youtube video links on one excel sheet or pdf and upload to the knowledge base and have it be considered one doc? The problem is I am trying to build a pickaxe that troubleshoots for a specific software, so users will hypothetically raise issues that i wouldn’t have thought of, and thus having to have a large library/search. Having google action enabled doesn’t seem to solve the embed issue.
Thanks again
Yes you could upload an excel sheet with hundreds, even thousands of youtube links. It seems like a lot of work to find all those links.
Generally the LLMs, left to their own devices, do a pretty decent job of having valid links. I’m surprised so many of them are turning up snake eyes for you.
To understand, you want your Pickaxe to be able to provide links to youtube videos that troubleshoot problems with specific software?
Yes, I would like users to ask about whatever issue they are having in the software and for the pickaxe to spit out text instructions as well as a relevant video. The software in question is extremely popular.
Yes I was hoping it could handle it because as you say uploading the videos will be a huge task and ultimately fall short as they will ask something I didn’t even think to include for a relevant video.
Could it be like an embed setting between pickaxe and youtube? Is this a setting I could change on my end? I’m not quite sure how it works. Has asking for youtube videos within Pickaxe worked before?
Thanks again
If I’m understanding the issue correctly, it has nothing to do with Pickaxe or settings. It’s just that the LLM is outputting links from its training data that are no longer relevant.
Would you mind sending me the tool so I can confirm my suspicion?
Hi yes thank you just messaged privately
I got it so that it gives the youtube videos that I want. The ones I looked worked. I said “give out the youtube links”.
Hmm, is it just giving a link? I am trying to have it embedded in the chat so the user doesn’t have to leave my tool and go to youtube.
I used your tool a few times (kinda naively) but it always gave several embedded youtube videos for each answer that worked.
I believe you it’s not working, i’m trying to figure out if the video links it is giving are completely made-up, or links of real videos that were removed or delisted.
Thank you yes I see your inputs. I see you got 2 blank videos, that is what I was getting for every video. I guess you were right that it was possibly pulling old/deleted links.
In my answers all the videos worked and were real videos. Some of the videos had ‘playback disabled’ by the video owner, but if you click on them it goes to Youtube and you can watch it there. That just mean the video owner has toggled on a setting that does not all the video to embedded. If this is the issue you’re talking about, then there’s nothing you can do to your Pickaxe or prompt to change this. It is a Youtube video setting controlled by the video owner.
I recorded a video here explaing more.
But to clarify, are you saying any of the videos are totally hallucinated (i.e. don’t exist on Youtube)?
**Edit: I explored more and did get some videos that legitimately not exist. The issue seems to be some of the quickbooks website you’re putting in. The answers that had non-existent videos were using these chunks (see screenshot). I would look at cleaning out the webpages you put into the bot. That might help.
Thanks, some videos I just get ‘video unavailable’ without the ‘watch on youtube’ link
Thank you! I will explore those chunks/cleaning it out. thanks again so much for your help. Would we be able to make private here the references the tools software? Still working on it no worries if not though.
Thanks again
I removed the screenshot so nobody sees.
I would test turning off certain documents in the builder. See if you still get faulty links.
