I haven’t seen this feature.
I’d like to be able to clone my pickaxes. It will save time if the pickaxes are comparable.
This feature actually already exists! All Pickaxes by default are not clone-able. To clone a Pickaxe, you’ll need to toggle this setting to “on”.
To clone a Pickaxe…
- In your dashboard, click on a Pickaxe to go to its control panel.
- In the control panel, look in the right-hand column settings. Scroll all the way down until you see “clone-able”.
- Toggle it to “on”
- Click on the “clone” button in the top of the control panel. It looks like a forking path button.
I’ve included screenshots of the interface for your convenience.
wow ok just logical but not as easy as ‘cloning’ in terms of the pickaxe list.
it’s true, you’d need a name (not visible to users) in addition to the official name of the pickaxe
I just tried this, and it didn’t seem to work…
What didn’t work? Was the “cloning” icon grayed out? Did you click it and nothing happened?
Yes, there is no bulk-cloning right now. You have to clone individually.
@admin_mike Yes, I clicked it and nothing happened:
Ah, it is working as intended, but perhaps it requires an explanation.
When you clone something you don’t automatically create it. It just copies over the prompt and settings to the builder. You have to then finish creating it.
I think I will make a change where it adds the word “(copy)” to the end of the title to make this more clear.
I’m not sure I understand. When it’s copied, where do I find it? @admin_mike
When you “clone” a Pickaxe, are automatically redirected to the builder page with the ‘cloned Pickaxe’ copied into it
You have not built the Pickaxe, but you are 99% of the way there. You just need to click the “next” and “publish” buttons in the bottom right of the screen in order to officially build it. Or, if you would like to make alterations to the original Pickaxe, you can do so in the builder screen.
I just tried this, and it wasn’t a cloned version, I just ended up making my changes over the top:
The issue has been resolved! And on top, now whenever you clone a Pickaxe, by default it will be the title + the “(copy)”.
