Some customers have asked if they can include images inside a chat. This does NOT mean generating AI images, it means rendering pre-existing images that are on the internet. This is a fun little easter egg in Pickaxe that is super simple. Our chat containers render tons of rich media like images, videos, hyperlinks, buttons, and more.
Adding Images Inside a Chat
To render images is pretty simple. Basically if you include the image adresss of an image that is hosted online, it will render in the chat.
For example if you want to render the wikipedia article image of Winston Churchill you would:
- Find the image on Google Images
- Copy the image address
- Paste the image address intro message.
Here’s how you would get the image address
*Here’s what it looks like when you paste it into the intro message area.
Here’s how it would like to an end-user in the final chat
(Bonus) Make a Glossary of Images
Another fun thing you can do build a list of multiple image address URLs for your Pickaxe to give out. For example let’s say you had a chatbot that talked about 5 different products you sell. You could include five links to five different images and instruct the chatbot to give them out when appropriate.
