Pickaxe and Workshops

I’m creating a workshop, and would like to offer access to my Pickaxe Studio. I’m thinking the easiest way is to sell the program via Pickaxe Studio/Stripe, but I would like to add some sort of automation that on registration via the Studio, would add a registration to the workshop/course as well. The course and prompts would be hosted separately. I looked at embedding the prompts on my Wordpress site, and while it works, it is challenging to get the responses delivered in a way that works. The long and short of it is I’d like payment made at either site, with an automation (e.g. Zapier) that would then simultaneously on payment create a login for the other site. Any thoughts around this greatly appreciated, thank you!

We don’t currently offer the solution you’re looking for (i.e. successful payment in a studio being able to ping another external system). This may be something we explore in the future, but we have some other pressing items in the short-term roadmap.

My suggestion would be something like this:

  • Create an invite-only studio on Pickaxe. Make it free.
  • Create your workshop on your website.
  • Whenever someone buys your workshop, send them an automated welcome email that contains the invite link to your Pickaxe studio.

This solution would mean people pay for your course on your website, then get access to an invite-only studio as a bonus.

That sounds feasible, thank you!

Hey there, in this case can someone then share the link? Or is it one time use? Asking to see if I can do a LTD out of a studio, without worrying about if someone will share the link.

If it’s an invite-only studio, then only approved emails will be able to access anything at the link

We’ve now added successful payment pages in the Studio where you can add code. So maybe you can ping a Zapier automation now.

In this case, does that mean I need to manually enter the persons email every time they get the invite only link?

Is there a way to automate - someone goes to black friday sale page - they check out - they get an email with link to invite only studio - behind the scenes their name is automatically added to the approved list of pickaxe invite only?

I’m not necessarily seeking this to go outside of pay rails, I just want a cleaner black friday sale funnel page that can also collect other info like their name, referral source.

As best I can tell, you can just make it a public Studio and then not share the URL with anyone but your users; you can set it up to require they make a free account to access the tools and then monitor the accounts created to make sure your clients aren’t sharing it, or that the Studio URL didn’t get out some other way.

Then you can just automate sending that URL to your users when they sign up for your Black Friday promotion.
