Stuck at 5 Credits Even After Setting to Unlimited

I’ve set my Pickaxe Studio for Guests to have unlimited credits, but it still shows the default 5 credits when I test it or view it from the front end.

I’ve already tried:

  • Changing the credit settings to unlimited and saving changes
  • Re-publishing the Pickaxe
  • Clearing cache

Still no luck — it’s stuck on “5 credits.”

However, after trying in incognito mode and testing in different browsers (Firefox and Edge), it worked. Looks like it was just a Chrome caching issue.

Has anyone else run into this or know how to fix it? Appreciate any help!

it is an embedded pickaxe ?

No, it is one of our four Pickaxes in a Studio.

The issue is a small nuance. You as an end-user visited the Studio when the rule was set to 5 probably. Then you changed the guest setting to infinity. But you are account was already ‘created’ in the backend and assigned a credit limit of 5. But when you visit it as a new user, they enjoy the new limit of infinity.

Hello, I had the same issue, but was not aware of all the changes as I created them before the migration and let it run since. I provide at least 20 pickaxes to 200 people, and after the migration I didn’t know the system was automatically set to 5 for Guests.

Some users bought the Pickaxe credits and ran out of credit immediately after.. they were not aware of how that worked and bought out of desperation. We are providing the pickaxes for free to our students and I don’t want them to pay for it.

How can I fix that? I saw that the pickaxes are free only for Guests. That they are guests or not, I don’t want them to pay. Should I delete them from the studio?

Thanks in advance for you help.

I just found out that we can manage the usage limit per “users” individually. I had to configure manually. This is a little bit confusing. Some of our students my reach out to Pickaxe Team for a refund

It would be nice to be able to update the usage limit in bulk.
