I am building a suite of tools for authors. Many of the tools will work best if the user can upload their manuscript first. GPT 4o seems to struggle with longer works. GPT o3-mini seems to to have a bigger input length but it isn’t as good at writing. From what I understand it is a reasoning model with GPT3.5 running in tandem. From a creative writing perspective, it’s not as good at 4o.
Any tips?
Are there any models that will support “long book” rather than “short book.”
I haven’t. The input length for Claude is only “short essay” which made me think it couldn’t handle a book long word doc. Does input length apply when looking at documents?
The best writing by far is Claude sonnet 3.5, in my opinion. I’d doubt however, the ability for a chat bot to analyze long inputs. Would it be through the knowledge base?
ChatGPT 4o recently got another update that improves its writing ability. Although Claude 3.5 is great at writing (but bad at marketing copy), I would still go with GPT-4o just due to the sheet amount of user-input-data OpenAI (allegedly) collects and uses for training data.
