Here’s a short answer:
The Guest tier is not a really tier, so end-users cannot see it. The “Guest” tier represents the default settings for all users who have not purchased a product. THis includes users who are not logged-in (tracked via IP address) and users who have signed up for your studio with an email but have not purchased a product.
If you want to create a Free Tier, you should create a new product and then set the cost to “Free”.
Here’s a longer explanation:
The Studios function according to a Product system. When you create a Product you can determine the:
- Price (or make it free)
- Frequency of the purchase (one-time or recurring subscription).
- Credits (how many credits they get)
- Paywalled Tools (which tools are unlocked thru the product)
- Visibility (whether the product can be seen by end-users or only by the admin)
Importantly, if you add a Pickaxe behind a Product paywall, that means guest users cannot access it. You can’t add Pickaxes explicitly to the Guest tier. By default, all Pickaxes are under it. You can only exclude Pickaxes from the Guest tier by adding them to Products.
You as the admin can also manually assign Products to users if you wish. This is why you might make an non-visible product.
