Not sure if this is under development already but would be cool if we could allow our customers to connect their account from our studio to Facebook / LinkedIn / WordPress or other similar tools / services so they could then use our studio to generate posts. This could even be a feature we could enable / disable per tool or allow by subscription level.
Right now the best implementation for this is to create the content with a Pickaxe and then cut and paste it into whatever too you are using to post content. Hopefully when Pickaxe is able to provide a feature that can produce an output it would be possible to integrate that into something like Hubspot to do what you are describing.
This is a good idea, though complicated. What information specifically would you want to pull from a LinkedIn profile or Facebook page? If you just wanted job title, for example, we might be able to achieve something similar just by scraping a page rather than fully integrating with it.
I think you thought this the wrong way around. What I mean is that Pickaxe produces the text, for example:
“This is a new facebook post”
and then with just a press of a button its posted to the Facebook page or for example to WordPress. Even better if it can be timed or saved as a draft so its not instantly posted.
Ah, I see. That is a good idea. Those integrations are not trivial. We are definitely thinking about them
The best approach here (and for me that is the most important requirement I currently have) is the possibility to integrate with Make.com and Zapier. In that way pickaxe would be open to almost any platform there is.
If you would start to make these integrations individually with each platform, that would make no sense from my perspective).
Together with the new JSON Structured Outputs from ChatGPT that would be a huge benefit for all pickaxes!

In what scenario is Pickaxe producing Facebook posts?
You know, Bit Social was just released today for WordPress, unlimited sites, lifetime, $99.
It makes no sense to me trying to reinvent Pickaxe to be HootSuite, or Buffer, or Predis.ai, or even Bit Social.
Mike, with WordPress, I’ve placed a pickaxe in the dashboard of my website and I need it to be aware of what website it is embeded on. The thought being that I can create a plugin where I’m using the same pickaxe across multiple different domains, but I’d like the ability to place a variable into the javascript embed code for something like site_url and have the pickaxe be able to see that.
Then when my clients go to the chat and ask for help adding a post to their site the bot can tell it to go directly to the url for publishing a new post and that url can be clickable and would change based on the site that the chat is on.
So if I have a client using example.com as their domain and another example2.com the links would change to the URL of the site that they’re using. Hoping to do this with out having to create a new pickaxe for each website.
Hope that makes sense.
Hey tyson this is not currently responsible. Though I may be wrong.
It is not currently possible after my conversations with a few people. I’d even talked with @nathaniel during office hours this last Thursday, but he said in another comment on a feature post that I made that he’d like to circle back to the idea of making it possible.
