Just wondering if there is a way to add header code a studio? Want to add some tracking code for hits, locations, etc… is there a way to add code to the header of the site?
This is a great question and I am curious to hear what other users think about this.
Currently no, there is no ability to add tracking code to a Studio. Or any code, for that matter. We’re carefully toeing the line between providing a simple web-app for you to launch Pickaxes through and becoming a full website builder. We worry if we try to do everything, we may do single thing well.
Currently the focus of the studio is to let users:
We’ve had a lot of conversations about exposing more functionality, but want to think through it before making things more complicated! We’re carefully monitoring requests to inform these decisions.
Sounds good to me! Like I say a first time user, so getting used to the awesome system. Obviously want to make a few $ once set up and build out some awesome tools. Just like to know how traffic is going once market it to sources - some web traffic code would be good but not a need short term of course!
Good day! i see this has been added!!! thanks so much! Now can add tracking code and see who is visiting / using the tools - awesomeness!
Realistically, if the studio is meant to be a white label solution then I think there needs to be a way to include code snippets like a meta pixel or analytics etc into studio.
I don’t see this as a feature so much as a necesssry part of our modern web ecology.
For those wondering how Shawn achieved this, we have given users the ability to add a snippet of code to the header for studios. This post explains where to find the spot.
Go to Design, then Content. In the left panel there is a button labeled “Code Injection”.
Hi Mike, we can track visits, but we also need to put conversion action tracking pixels on pages where a free trial sign-up and a sale have taken place within our PickAxes (being able to separate the two). Can this be done? I want to run paid traffic this week to my Studios, but I am unsure if this feature is available yet so I can track a sale made by PickAxe.
Also, how do we test an actual paid sale? I want to fire my tracking code on the confirmation page of a sale to test before running paid ads. Is this possible?
Free Trial checkouts don’t fire my conversion tracking script, so we need a way to test an actual checkout.
Do you allow us access to the backend where our products are purchased, or can we only insert code there?
hi @admin_mike I’m looking for the same questions/answers as @rainmaker above. Have used the Website code injection HEADER option with Google Analytics/Tag Manager and data is coming in nicely but now I want to capture purchases via custom Events, and I’m getting stuck. Any guidance? Thanks!
Exactly, we need to capture purchases for Ad tracking and our affiliate software so we can attribute the sales to the right affiliates.
Since we don’t have access to the backend code (correct me if I am wrong), we need documentation for developers to create custom coding to inject into the “website code Injection” so we can properly track everything just mentioned.
Not being able to do this hinders our marketing capabilities, especially affiliate marketing, which would allow us to exponentially grow our PickAxe revenue.
Regarding the affiliate software, the issue has been resolved. Now, it’s easy: you only have to put the code in the header tag, and that’s it. No more header confirmation code is required, making the setup easy. Here is a link to an affiliate software that is fully integrated with Pickaxe:
