Embed does not work

I am trying to embed my chatbot into my webpage, but when It’s open shows the message:“Sorry. You don’t have permission to access this pickaxe…”
I have it public and free.

Hi, I use to have the same issue, then I realised I need to enter my URL of the website where you’ve embed it. Go to the manage area of your Pickaxe, Privacy section, enter the URL there and save, then it should work.
P.S.
The back end of your website will always say unauthorised but its absolutely fine on the live view.

do you enter the whole page like mywebsite.com - This website is for sale! - mywebsite Resources and Information. or just https://mywebsite.com only? i tried your advice, it still does not work embedding on a website.

how did you embed it?

If you go to deploy and then select the embed code will provide you what you need to us on a page. Can make adjustments on that page - colour, layout etc… but pretty handy and straightforward once you set it up.

Could an admin tell me what should work for me? I am about to give up and abandon pickaxe, embed should be something simple. It’s so frustrating.

Hi, I entered https://mydomain.com, or if it’s on another page then it would be https://mydomain.com/resources. I noticed as well that if you have two Pickaxes on the same page you would enter two URL’s separately. I would also double-check that Pickaxe does work on your hosting platform.
Has yours ever worked for you, or has it worked and then stopped working?

It never works. I am new with Pickaxe. My problem is that I have some clients who need the chatbot, and I said that it would not take to much time to be ready, and now i have this ridiculous problem. I can’t believe it.

I just changed the URL like you said. It’s not working yet. I’ll wait a few minutes to see it again.

The issue is that you have Domain Security enabled on this particular Pickaxe. So it is blocking it from rendering on any domain except the one you entered.

So, should I turn off the SSL/TLS encryption?

Hi laramentor,

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with Pickaxe. It sounds very frustrating, especially when you’re on a tight schedule with your clients. I recommend reaching out to their support team to see if they can provide any assistance or solutions. It does seem quite strange, and they might have encountered similar issues before.

Please let me know if you manage to get this resolved. I’d love to learn from your experience in case I encounter something similar in the future.

Thanks, Shirley

The issue is you have the domain security on Pickaxe turned it. It’s a setting within the control panel. Honestly, we should move this feature as it sometimes gets users into trouble.

Remove the domain from there and you should be able to see your embed.

Hi Shirley.
I already sent a message to them, admin Mike answered me by mail and here, but I still don’t know what I should do to make it work. In fact, I am looking for another platform because it’s taking a lot of time, and without support, I am imagining how it would be if I had a real problem in the future, who would help me?

I really appreciate your help Shirley, thank you!

Jesus admin Mike, why didn’t you tell me about it before? D**, it’s working now.
Gezz, I spent hours today looking for another chat creator.
Thanks Mike!
