So we are excited to be launching a few innovative bots in health care, mental health, disability and age care.
We are debating whether to offer a free trial (but they must give us their name and email so they go in our database) vs only paid tiers. The current thinking is that a free trial might get more people in the database but we could lose financially as we would have costs but no income.
We could get a lot of tire kickers who would never pay for anything.
For example someone could use several email addresses to get unlimited free use but they wouldn’t have that chat saved.
I am opening this up to ask other members their thoughts and experiences?
Good question, can Pickaxe pick up on a users IP addresses so only one IP address can use a Pickaxe and so stop different email accounts taking advantage of the free tiers. However I suppose this can still be taken advantage of if a user uses a VPN.
Hey Nancy, if you include a free trial tier with only 5 uses, it would be hard for them to rack up a significant cost. Additionally, you could make the free trial only have access to a tool that runs GPT-4o mini (the cheapest model). In both cases, it would be difficult to incur major costs unless you have thousands of users immediately.
