A lot of users have been asking about how to white-label their AI tools, Pickaxes, GPTs, etc., or how to remove Pickaxe branding from their studios. Here’s a guide on how to white-label every aspect of Pickaxe.
Embeds - Removing “Powered by Pickaxe”
If you are embedding an AI chatbot in your website, you probably want to white-label it and remove Pickaxe branding.
To remove the “powered by Pickaxe” branding, simply go to the embed customization page, click on the content tab, then toggle the white-label switch. You must be on a Gold plan or higher to use this feature. See the screenshot below for more context.
Adding your own chat Iion
By default all Pickaxe use the Pickaxe logo as the chat icon. Both chatbots and forms that have ‘go to chat’ enabled. You can easily change this icon on the second page of the builder flow. Every time you build or edit a Pickaxe, this is the second screen after the main builder. Here you can choose a more generic spark icon or you can upload your own by clicking on the “+” icon. This require a Gold subscription or higher. See the screenshot below for more context.
This chat icon will show up on all instances of the Pickaxe, both the embeds and in studios.
Studios - Removing “Powered by Pickaxe”
If you are selling your AI chatbots through a Studio, it’s also important to remove Pickaxe branding.
You can remove the “powered by Pickaxe” labeling in your Studio very simply. In the Studio Manager navigate to Design, then Content, then switch it off with the white-label toggle. See the screenshot below for more context.
Studios - Hosting your Studio at a Custom Domain
If you don’t want your customers to see the pickaxeproject domain, then you should host your studio at a custom domain. This easy to do, but requires several steps. Check out this step by step walkthrough about to host your studio at a custom domain.
You will need to purchase a custom domain and have a Pickaxe Gold account or higher to use this feature.
Studios - Remove Google OAuth
When end-users access your studio, they can login through a standard email/password authentication flow which is totally white-labeled or they can sign in with Google. If they sign in with google, there is a piece of copy that says pickaxeproject there. We are unable to remove this.
However, you can remove the option to sign in with google. In the Studio Manager go to the Pages tab, and then Popups. There you’ll find an option to toggle off Google Oautho.
