Internal Policy Tools

Hey all – I’m building an internal tool with Pickaxe to help staff query long internal policy documents (e.g. compliance, HR, etc) and get quick answers with references to specific sections.

I’d like it so that the user has their own login and chat history and can access only certain Pickaxes.

I’d really appreciate any tips on how to best set this up and how to pitch it to businesses.

I think you could do that.

They can have their own login right now, but as for accessing certain documents, you could set up groups that are free and assign people or invite them to the pickaxe.

This is a fantastic use case that we see many users do. I would suggest creating a private studio. Then add your staff members.

If you want them each to only be able to use a certain set of tools, you can create different “Products” with access to different arrays of tools, and then make each product “hidden”. Then you can manually assign each user a different product so they have different access.

You might want to read this section of the Pickaxe User Manual.

Ah that’s a super useful feature and exactly what I’m after. Thanks for the response! I don’t suppose there are any examples of studios that have done similar? It would be really interesting to see how others have gone about it.
