šŸ§  User Memory - (New Feature beta)

that is brilliant!! thanks @admin_mike, is there a tutorial on this coming soon? Iā€™ve already migrated to the new pickaxe, but unsure how it works, is the user memory also working on the forms or just the chats? thank you

There will be many tutorials soon, including a tutorial on User Memory. We need to get through the rest of the migration (still some mild de-bugging to do).

sounds good @admin_mike, I had a look at the user memory for LTDā€™s and noticed we only get one entry or task per studio, does that mean we can only use that on one tool to collect data? look forward to the tutorials, cheers

A ā€œmemoryā€ is collected across all tools in a studio. So if you ask for a userā€™s location, the studio will monitor ALL tools in order to get the location.

The limit is on how many different Memories you can collect. The reason is memories are not cheap. It is basically a system that runs every single query through an LLM and sees if the desired memory material is present or not. Right now Gold users (and hence LTDs) have 1 Memory per studio. So you can collect that Memory from unlimited amounts of users, but you can only collect that 1 Memory.

We will release some tutorials soon.

Hi everyone.
Just trying to implement a new Pickaxe with user memory to test the feature.

In the video it says this should be under the learn tab. However I cannot see this after the redesign. And canā€™t see where the user memory function now sits? I have Gold at the moment. So I think I should be able to create at least one?

Hi Mike, so to clear something up here.

ā€œSo you can collect that Memory from unlimited amounts of users, but you can only collect that 1 Memory.ā€

Am I correct in understanding that while only one memory can be created, this memory is specific to each user rather than being shared across all users? If itā€™s limited to just one shared memory for all users, it wouldnā€™t be individual to the logged-in user, which seems counterintuitive.

Additionally, what is the maximum character limit for a memory? I ask because, theoretically, could we not create a Knowledge Base for each user within their single memory? While this would naturally be less specific than PRO accounts, it would still offer a more functional and valuable feature for Gold accounts, making it significantly more usable.

This is an excellent feature, but I believe these points need clarification to fully understand its potential.

So a ā€˜memoryā€™ would be like ā€œfirstNameā€, and therefore T2 LTD users only get one variable, one ā€˜memoryā€™ in their account? So we canā€™t have both ā€œfirstnameā€ and ā€œfavoriteColorā€ for example?

Yes, each memory is specific. So if you collect ā€œlocationā€, it will collect a different location for each user.

There is a maximum character limit. Thatā€™s why you canā€™t remember a 10,000 page book for each user. Iā€™m not sure the character limit off-hand but I believe itā€™s hundreds of characters.

That is correct. But you could create one memory that is ā€œName and favorite colorā€ and it might collect both.

Memories are basically mini-bots that follow a basic prompt (What is the userā€™s name?) and looks at every single exchange to record the memory.

thank you. Perhaps in future we could purchase power-ups for more memories.
*edit: or use BYOK to consume our own compute costs, not yours, for memory bots.

The memory Iā€™d really prefer is the system remembering past chats per-user.

It would be amazing if the memory token could be expanded beyond 1000 tokens.

Can someone explain the unique selling point of PickAxe versus ChatGPT? From my understanding, ChatGPT can run amok since it isnā€™t specialized like PickAxe, which can be programmed to follow rules and run on your specialized knowledge, plus perform actions from forms and chats. Is this accurate, and are there even more features and benefits of PickAxe that I didnā€™t list that ChatGPT canā€™t do? Kage and Tony seem to be having trouble selling their PickAxeā€™s so any comments will help them.

Hey, great questions! This feels like the beginning of a new topic, so you might want to start a fresh post. From what I understand, hereā€™s what makes Pickaxe stand out compared to building agents in ChatGPT:

  1. Build your brand: Pickaxe allows you to showcase your expertise without being overshadowed by ChatGPT.
  2. Customizable forms: You can structure AI conversations and outputs by creating tailored forms.
  3. Action triggers: Pickaxe enables you to link actions to trigger events, such as connecting with third-party services.
  4. Monetisation opportunities: You can bundle multiple Pickaxes into a Studio and even monetise the platform.

Thereā€™s likely much more that sets Pickaxe apart as a unique and compelling solution!

Awesome! Is this also available for lifetime members (LTDs)

Yes. If you are on an LTD, you are tied to the Gold plan. Gold members get 1 user memory currently, so LTDs get 1 user memory.

Great. I would actually like to test it first before switching to a pro subscription. However, I canā€™t seem to find the button anywhere that is shown to activate the memory.

By the way, does the memory also work when the chatbot is embedded?
